Responsible Gambling — p99o Puts Players First

Gambling is entertainment. When it stops feeling that way, it becomes a problem — and p99o takes that seriously. This page covers every tool, resource and commitment we have in place to help players across Pakistan gamble safely and within their means.

Quick Access — Player Tools

Deposit & Loss Limits Account Settings
Session Time Limits Account Settings
Cooling-Off Period Account Settings
Self-Exclusion Account Settings

All tools are accessible directly in your p99o account settings — no need to contact support to activate them.

Six Built-In Safeguards — Available to Every Player

These tools are not buried in settings menus or locked behind support tickets. Every p99o player can activate them directly and immediately from their account dashboard.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your p99o account. Once set, the limit cannot be increased immediately — a cooling-off period applies before any upward adjustment takes effect, giving you time to reconsider.

Daily / Weekly / Monthly
Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you are willing to lose within a set period. When your net losses reach the limit, further wagers are blocked until the period resets. Loss limits are one of the most effective tools for keeping gambling within a manageable budget.

Daily / Weekly / Monthly
Session Time Limits

Define how long a single session can last. When the timer expires, you will be logged out automatically. You can also enable session reminders that notify you of how long you have been playing — a small prompt that makes a real difference over time.

Custom Duration
Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break from the platform without fully excluding your account. Cooling-off periods can be set from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During this time, you cannot deposit or wager, but your account remains active for when the period ends.

24h to 6 Weeks
Self-Exclusion

Request a full self-exclusion from the p99o platform for a defined period (typically 6 months, 1 year or 5 years) or permanently. Once self-exclusion is active, your account is suspended and marketing communications are stopped immediately. This is a serious commitment and cannot be reversed during the active period.

Immediate Effect
Reality Checks & Balance Display

Enable periodic pop-up reality checks that display your current session duration, net win/loss for the session and total time spent on the platform over the last 30 days. Staying informed about your actual play patterns is the first step toward responsible gambling.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling does not always look the same. For some people it builds gradually — a few extra bets here, a slightly larger stake there — until it has quietly taken hold. Recognising the signs early is the single most important thing you can do for yourself or someone you care about.

Gambling should feel like entertainment. If it starts to feel like a necessity, an escape from stress, or a way to recover money you have already lost, that is worth paying attention to. Players across Pakistan — whether they are watching PSL matches in Lahore or following ICC cricket in Karachi — deserve access to honest information about the risks.

The questions below are not a medical diagnosis. They are prompts for honest self-reflection. If you recognise more than one or two of these patterns in your own behaviour, we strongly encourage you to use p99o's built-in tools or to seek independent support.

  • Chasing losses: Placing more bets to recover money already lost, rather than accepting the loss and stepping away.
  • Gambling with essential money: Using funds set aside for rent, food, family expenses or other commitments to fund wagers.
  • Hiding gambling activity: Keeping your betting habits secret from family members or close friends due to embarrassment or fear of judgment.
  • Gambling to relieve stress: Using gambling as a way to escape difficult emotions, anxiety or personal problems rather than as recreation.
  • Inability to stop: Finding it difficult or impossible to walk away — continuing to gamble even when you intended to stop.
  • Neglecting responsibilities: Gambling taking priority over work, family time, social commitments or personal health.
  • Borrowing to gamble: Taking loans, using credit, or borrowing from family and friends specifically to fund gambling sessions.

Healthy Gambling Habits

  • Set a gambling budget before you start and stick to it — treat it like an entertainment expense, not an investment.
  • Use deposit and loss limits in your account settings to enforce your budget automatically.
  • Take regular breaks — enable session timers to remind yourself to step away.
  • Never gamble when you are under stress, feeling low, or have consumed alcohol.
  • Only ever gamble money you can comfortably afford to lose — not money allocated for household expenses or savings.
  • Accept that the house always has an edge. Winning streaks end. Gambling is not a reliable source of income.
  • Be honest with yourself. If gambling is affecting your mood, relationships or finances, act on that — use the tools available or seek support.

A Note for Pakistani Players

Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 restricts certain gambling activities. p99o does not claim that online gambling is legal in Pakistan or authorised by any Pakistani government authority. Understanding and complying with the laws applicable to you is your personal responsibility. If you have concerns about the legality of your activities, please consult a legal professional. If you are experiencing gambling-related harm, please use the responsible gambling tools on this page regardless of legal questions.

How to Activate Your Protection Tools

Every responsible gambling tool on p99o is available directly from your account settings — no support request needed, no waiting period to activate protections. Follow the steps on the right to get started.

Self-exclusion works differently. Because it is intended as a serious, hard-to-reverse commitment, we recommend also contacting our live chat support team when you activate self-exclusion, so that our team can confirm the exclusion, stop all marketing communications and flag the account for our player-protection review process.

Need Immediate Help?

If you are in crisis and need to stop gambling immediately, contact our 24/7 live chat support team. Our team can suspend your account immediately while you work through the full self-exclusion process. You do not have to wait.

1

Log In to Your p99o Account

Access your account from the homepage. All responsible gambling tools are housed within the account settings area — no separate login is required.

2

Navigate to Responsible Gambling Settings

Within your account dashboard, locate the Responsible Gambling section. This contains all limit tools, cooling-off options and the self-exclusion request form.

3

Set Your Deposit or Loss Limit

Choose a daily, weekly or monthly limit amount. Enter the value and confirm. The limit takes effect immediately. To increase a limit later, a mandatory cooling-off period applies before the new higher limit activates — this delay is intentional and by design.

4

Enable Session Time Reminders

Set a session duration after which you will receive a reminder. You can also enable automatic log-out when the session limit is reached. This is particularly useful for extended cricket betting sessions during PSL or ICC events, when it is easy to lose track of time.

5

Activate a Cooling-Off Period or Self-Exclusion

For a short break, select a cooling-off period (24 hours to 6 weeks). For a longer commitment, initiate self-exclusion. Both options are available in the Responsible Gambling settings. Self-exclusion activates immediately and cannot be reversed during the active period.

6

Confirm and Check Back

Review your active limits at any time from your account settings. You will see the current limits, their reset dates and any cooling-off periods in progress. Keeping a regular eye on your own controls is a healthy habit in itself.

Self-Assessment Questions

These questions are designed to prompt honest self-reflection. They are not a medical tool and should not be treated as a clinical assessment. If you answer "yes" to several of these questions, we encourage you to activate the responsible gambling tools available to you or to seek independent guidance.

1
Have you ever gambled more than you intended to on a single occasion — and found it difficult to stop even when you decided to?
2
Have you spent time thinking about gambling — planning your next session, reliving past wins, or working out ways to get more money to gamble?
3
Have you ever gambled to escape from personal problems, stress, anxiety, or feelings of sadness or loneliness?
4
After losing money gambling, have you felt the need to return as soon as possible to win it back?
5
Have you ever hidden the extent of your gambling activity from family members, a spouse, or close friends?
6
Have you gambled with money that was intended for rent, household expenses, children's education or other essential commitments?
7
Have you borrowed money, sold possessions or used a credit card specifically to fund gambling?
8
Have gambling losses affected your mood, relationships, work performance or sleep in a noticeable way?
9
Have you previously tried to stop or reduce your gambling and been unable to follow through on that intention?
10
Do you find yourself needing to bet larger amounts than before to feel the same level of excitement or satisfaction from gambling?

What your answers mean: If you answered "yes" to two or more of these questions, your gambling may be moving beyond recreational. This does not mean you have a serious problem — but it is a signal worth acting on early. Activate a deposit or loss limit in your account settings, or consider taking a short cooling-off break. If you answered "yes" to five or more, we strongly encourage you to consider self-exclusion and to seek independent support through one of the resources listed below. There is no shame in asking for help — the tools are there for exactly this reason.

Strictly Adults Only — 18 or Over

The p99o platform is restricted exclusively to adults aged 18 and over — or the higher minimum age required by the operator or applicable license jurisdiction. This is non-negotiable and actively enforced.

Age verification is a mandatory part of the account activation and withdrawal process. Every player must submit valid identity documentation confirming their date of birth before any withdrawal is processed. p99o reserves the right to request age verification at any point and to suspend accounts where verification cannot be completed.

Your responsibility as an account holder: If you share a device or household with a minor, it is your responsibility to ensure they cannot access your p99o account. Log out after each session, use a strong password and consider enabling two-factor authentication. Do not store your login credentials where a minor could find them.

18+

No Exceptions. No Workarounds.

The age restriction exists to protect young people. Gambling can cause serious harm, and the vulnerability of young people to problem gambling is well documented. If you are under 18 — or if you are uncertain whether a person attempting to use the Platform is of legal age — do not proceed.

Age restriction applies universally to all players, regardless of city — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and beyond. There are no geographic exceptions within the Platform.

Support Resources & Where to Turn

Problem gambling support is available in many forms. The resources below outline what kinds of help exist and how to access them. p99o provides platform tools and internal support — but for clinical or therapeutic help, an independent specialist is always the right choice.

p99o Live Chat

Our 24/7 support team can help you activate limits, initiate self-exclusion, pause your account or escalate your concern to our dedicated player-protection team. Available in English, with Urdu assistance on request.

Email Support

For non-urgent responsible gambling enquiries, contact our support team by email at [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link). Include your account details and describe your concern. We aim to respond within 24 hours on business days.

Counselling & Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a clinically recognised approach for problem gambling. If you believe your gambling has become harmful, consulting a qualified psychologist or counsellor is a practical and effective step. Mental health professionals in major Pakistani cities including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad offer these services.

Self-Help Resources

International organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous operate support groups and self-help programmes. These are free, confidential and have helped many people manage gambling-related difficulties. Information about such organisations may be found through a general web search. p99o provides this as contextual information only — we are not affiliated with these organisations.

About Third-Party Support Organisations

p99o is an online gambling platform — not a healthcare provider. We do not provide clinical gambling treatment. We are committed to equipping players with the tools to gamble responsibly and to directing those who need more support toward appropriate external help. References to counselling, therapy or support organisations on this page are informational only. p99o is not affiliated with, does not endorse, and does not receive referral fees from any third-party support organisation mentioned or implied on this page. For mental health crises unrelated to gambling, please contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional in your area.
